Wow - those things are *BUILT*. I've only ever seen the styrofoam balls with the square mirrors. Obviously those are much easier to assemble though. Everything about these things is complicated, from the metal forming necessary to get the dome shapes, to the painstaking trimming of the...

I like the hybrid design from Shadow & Lazerjock, but I must admit that I also like the one from MixedGas, as it's a throwback to the original SELEM logo from 2007. Does anyone else have any submissions? Adam

Bump, I edited in more information to my post after tearing down this laser to confirm the coatings on the ND:YAG as well as the mechanism used to adjust the OC, simple but ingenious! I also confirmed the pump diode output power to be close to the claimed amount of power, per the manufacturer. I...

We got this scan head second-hand for our confocal setup and it originally came with the G120DT galvos inside....

CX 660 Cx-660 CX660 General Scanning Manual is attached. Most of the CX family on Ebay will be fixer-uppers, assume you will need a technician to repair it. Find CXs with DB15 connectors on the back, unless your galvo pair has the long outdated blue circular mini connectors, in which case...

Less chance of getting lung cancer with silicon carbide, right? :) I'm sure that would also work, but it would make the optical path for the IR feedback a lot more complicated. (Seems like the scanner mounting block itself would be in the way.) Picking off the IR after the scanners is...
