Hey i just got a funny idea and it seems quite possible.
How about a piece of software that could splice an ilda in 2 so you have half an ilda.
which you could output to 2 laser projector. thus decreasing point per projector.
and allowing more complex graphics.

A nice setting would be that you can input the KPPS of both projectors and the software will sepperate acording to the scanning speed.
*giving the best scanner the most*

either it can be spliced in 2 parts by the software or at the blanking parts like shapes *if the other option isn't possible*
like 2 boxes and the 1 box for the first projector and the other for the other laser projector.
however splicing might be better since sometimes you have one big shape.

aligning can be done with 2 half circkles on both projector * one in a D shape and the other one flipped* once you get a nice round cirkle that means they are aligned perfectly

Anyone got any experience with BSP tree compilers?

Bit of a long shot this, but for something laser related I am working on I need some code to compile BSP trees from polygon lists.

I found some stuff on the ID software site used in their map editors, but that is kind of complicated and I would like something written to be easier to follow.
Because the models will usually not be that big, I probably don't need strictly optimal performance and a relatively low time complexity in the compile would be good (The tree is being used more for back face culling and bounding box tests then anything else).

I also have a simple 2D tree used in projection space to do the final hidden line removal, but that is less of a problem then the model space tree as it is typically far smaller (And what I have works well enough).

C++ would be good, but really I can convert from anything.

Anyone know of something floating around the net?

Regards, Dan.

Hi all,

Someone wrote to me and asked about the 2.0 BETA. I had actually already sent it out to a number of people by direct email, but perhaps the email got stuck in the spam filter of some, so here is the (140MB) download:
http://www.pangolin.com/_Files/QS_BETA_200.exe

By default, this will REALLY want to install in a C:\QS2 folder, thereby avoiding over-writing anything in your normal QS folder. That way, any workspaces or anything else you created will remain undisturbed (not that they would be disturbed anyway, but just incase...). However, note that once you've run this version of QuickShow, you will no longer be able to run build 128 ever again. All of your files can be used with the new version, but the older QS.EXE will no longer work.

This is a pretty good build, but there are a few known bugs. One of them has to do with the TTL mode. This is new. Just don't tell it that you have a TTL laser and everything will be fine. (If you tell it you have a TTL laser, everything will project in white...)

We have set the beam zone to 30 (instead of 7) and we are now wanting people to use zone 7 for beams that may project into an audience area, or over the heads.

When you load QS, you can go to the FILE menu and look at "Workspace description" which will tell you how to setup the zones.

Let me know via direct email if you experience any problems. But in any event, this should really be a strong build with brand new features and the latest workspace.

Best regards,

William Benner

Hmm, Im being bored... and came up with a random but interesting thought.
Since you already have midi control for a laser projector...
Is there a way to use a midi file for a lasershow?

as in assigning patterns that either change to something different and toggle when playing a certain instrument and pitch.

It's just an random thought.
I myself am lacking to much to do anything like that yet.
But the idea might be inspiring to someone maybe?

excuse me if I might have posted this in the wrong topic

Could someone explain or share there easiest procedure for converting 4 stereo Wav files (my rips are in this format as LC-ADAT (pango) works well with them) into one 8channel FLEC or WAV as needed to playback for use with a soundcard dac?

I have a method I am using splitting to mono and then re combining using Magix Sequoia, but it is most likely over kill and am looking for a faster and easier way. I believe it was mentioned that Audacity could do this. Anyone care to share a quick tutorial?

Also are there working Vista drivers yet for the usb SC-DAC that don;t have blanking issues?

Thanks
