Do you have a stained glass window supply in your town? I visited one and bought a pen laser so I could try the glass out before I bought it. The ones from the scrap bin were only a couple dollars each. I spent under $20 for 5 different types of glass that way. My lumia project is coming along slowly- getting closer though.
edit- dang, I just checked out mophead's link to that sample box! pretty tempting- 50 types?!?!

Wow, the 16x20 does indeed produce a nice lumia effect. Are these the ones you sell?

    Cool

I can vouch for the lumia wheels that Displaser sells... They're fantastic. If anyone remembers the wheel that I had at FLEM (the one mounted "ghetto-style" using some erector-set-like material), that is the same shower glass that I got from Displaser.

Well, I ordered this glass set.

It was 30 bucks, free shipping and arrived in 3 days. There is a really nice selection of 50 pieces; some are really great for lumina, some are completely worthless (clear--waterglass and such).

Shipping was a tad rough on the material though. There was 4 pretty badly broken pieces. Of course they would have been great for lumina.

If i have some time in the next few days, might do some video comparison of the nicer pieces where y'all can see if you want to get individual samples of the glass. They are fairly cheap.

Enough interest to waste time doing video?
