All of the legal aspects of this show were put together by Roberta McHatton of Laser Saftey Services, and the show was run under my Variance with Slick Beam Projectors.... 5- 12Watt Green's, 2- 24Watt green's and a 10Watt RGB. The audience effect was a pain in the ass to get passed, but it went off without a hitch and it looked GREAT!!!

I second that motion, but Pat has much more experience I think you need two new roadies. I can be to the Texas venue in half a day...

    Rick,
I was at the Boston show the night after MSG. I really enjoyed the lasers, nice job!
I was wondering about the audience effect and how it was approved.
It looked great, just curious as to the what was involved with doing it, if you care to enlighten us.

I just looked around on youtube and it appears they exact same show is done everywhere they go. I just bought my tickets and I'm going to see Muse tomorrow for St. Paticks day! I'm very excited as I haven't seen a decent laser show in person, only on videos (and Muse rocks)

I came to the concert late and missed the first song (which is the video above)!!!
However they brought the lasers out midshow for one more song and they were amazing!
They audience scanning looked pretty cool too. It looked very safe, the beams sizes were huge and the power was obviously reduced from what it was doing above the audience. Excellent show!

Saw the Houston concert last night.

Based on what I saw, the audience scanning was done by two projectors, one one each side of the stage, each through a starburst diffraction grating.

Best concert that I've seen in many years.
