    Default pangolin software CC

Could anyone please help with my decision to go with LD2000 intro VS quickshow. I sent an email to them but got the out of office response. The email is below if anyone here could offer opinions or answers please do.

Wondering if you could advise, I am trying to decide between
Quickshow and LD2000 intro. The biggest thing I like about LD2000 is
the 120 shows it comes with. Can you tell me are these available for
    use / purchase in quickshow?

Also any advice on which way to go, it seems like the website favors
quickshow as far as explaining the use and features more so than what
is stated for the intro version of LD2000. Does LD2000 have all the
prebuilt animations etc with it as shown in quickshow? I assume you
need to build them to a timeline in LD2000 and not just click them as
    cues, but are they available?

Thanks for any insight you could provide on the above or any thoughts.

LD2000 uses the QM2000 PCI board which needs to be installed inside of a PC, alternatively you can go for QM2000.Net which is the same board but on a network interface, so it is standalone. QM2000.net allows you to run multiple controllers over an Ethernet LAN.

The LD2000 software suite includes Lasershow Designer 2000 for designing your graphics and beams (tunnels etc) and Showtime which is a timeline based show design tool, here you load in the frames you create in Lasershow designer and add effects and transitions to them. You can then set all this to run to a musical score. There is also a basic live controller in Showtime. For live work (eg; clubs) you would need to add LivePro which is the industry standard live control package. This comes at extra cost, but is the premium live control system. Think of it as the Technics of lasershow control. There are a whole bunch of other packages that come with the suite and 1000's of frames and 120 odd shows. These shows run in Showtime and cannot be run out of any other software inclucing Quickshow.

Quickshow at the moment only runs on the FB3 which is a board you connect to a PC over USB (originally designed to be incorporated in your projector). But I believe there are plans to release Quickshow for the QM2000 at some time in the future.

Quickshow includes a frame design tool, timeline tool and Live tool... All of these tools are great and run really well as far as I know...

So if you are looking for a pro solution which you are going to be using commercially then LD2000 is probably best. Hence the price difference.. But Quickshow is more than adequate...

    Hope that helps
