I will endeavour to ring up about the heating situation at the hall today.

Got my 1W 635 repaired last night, one of the series linked TEC's had popped thus no cooling on the 2x c-mounts thus maybe the reason the 2 diodes blew not so long back

All sorted now any way - back onto the 445 build and fit

    Exclamation H&S crap :)

    Cabling on hall floors
Can I reiterate what I 'had' to 'enforce' at the last LEM @ Surfleet - For H&S reasons, can I please ask that NOBODY places any type of cabling over the main center floor area - Please, Please, Please route ALL cables around the outsides of the hall and where cables are to be across walkways i.e doorways, then PLEASE fully tape them down.

I do not want any injuries and from all previous LEM's it's just an accident waiting to happen.

    Important!
Again, can people let me know ASAP please if anyone will be requiring any more than a standard 230VAC 13A supply?

Disclaimer - Anyone attending this up and coming LEM, DO SO AT THEIR OWN RISK!
You know the risks and by attending the LEM you understand the risks

I think you did a splendid job last LEM, it was very safe, no cablings running across the hall.
Not one moment i felt unsafe (unless it was the time the coppers came in.... hahaha).

So good, well done and let's repeat next time !

Did you checked up on the heating in the hall ?

    greetz,
    Dimitri
    I didn't fail !
I just found out 10,000 ways that didn't work.

You are going POWER MAD, Jimbo !
I must make a point of running with scissors at your LEM to prove that H&S is a load of bollox !

I may well make a point of not wearing my hard hat, flourescent jacket and toe-tectors too !!

Whahahaha...... so all we need is some plates of curry, KevSki and a match ?
I am afraid that the nice people of the hall can then rebuild their building, instead of only saving for some pipeworks....

It will give a loud bang though.... and we get to meet our copper friends again ;-)))

If you want a loud bang, forget curries and do lasers and fireworks.

Take it from me the King Cobra rockets on this page: http://www.retailfireworks.co.uk/aca...ket_Packs.html

are awesome and the biggest / loudest things you can buy.

In fact they're so big the sticks come with hinges in the middle as they around 3 1/2 feet when assembled and the sicks are around 1/2 inch square!!

Here's the video of them in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4c_O_E-F6ik

You'll have copper swarming around you like wasps to honey. If you're lucky you might even attract some honey's as well!
They say video games are bad for kids but if Pacman had affected us we'd all be running around in dark
rooms, munching pills and listening to repetitive music.

    Hey all,

Just posting to say I'm still planning to make it. I don't know which days I'll be able to attend just yet but the more the better from my point of view!

I take it just turning up whenever will be acceptable, or do you need to know specifics?

Looking forward to seeing you all very soon and getting my retinal fix!

PicoProjector... I like that! I think the name is already taken by that little commercial mobile phone looking device though. Yes, I'll be bringing the combining unit at least. Still a long way to go on the rest of it. I has been busy with blueness and the devices we don't talk about here! It's up to just shy of 450mW in total now, using Casio projector dichros, but I have to install new drivers before the meet. I'm interested to see what you all think so far and look forward to picking some brains on the next steps. I've been looking at the Pangolin FB3 bare board, (I think that's the name). Nice size but I don't know the technicalities just yet.

Here's one pic at about 300mW pre Casio dichro installation. The near and far field alignment is much better now -

I can't wait to be honest!
