Hello.

I and i know some more people who are using iphone, and more people are getting one of these awsome phones everyday.

Although as it is using Safari as a webbrowser the forum has some limits to post pictures and other features for iphone users.

I have downloaded an application that skip this and i can surf this forum without any problem although The forum administrator needs to install an plugin to make it work 100%

There is an plugin to download for Vbulletin and the installation should be really really simple.

I raised this question quite some time ago.

Admin was good enough to implement support for TouchBB which you can download from the App Store. However, there are still one or two issues that need resolving in so much as not all threads seem to load correctly.

Admin is aware of these issues as I believe an error log is created at PL whenever a problem occurs. I appreciate that he's very busy and i'm sure the issues will be resolved eventually, particularly if more people start to use iPhones for forum access.

It would be better if we could keep focussed on one particulr program for iPhone support. I suggested either TouchBB or Tapatalk, both of which are excellent pieces of software.

Oh, Andy... There's no point in trying to swim against the tide... Apple will rule the world eventually, it's much easier to just give in now

jem i dont like to be a sheep and follow the herd

i like my nokia will full flash support means i can browse the web as if i was on a pc.

Sounds cool although as far as i know non of them support uploading pictures, wich forumrunner supports.

i could be wrong though but i have tried all of them and as far as i can see only "Forum Runner" is supporting picture uploads.

And Andy.. i hear you. i hate Apple, especially there computers, although i have to say Iphone rocks all other phones out there. no one is even close the speed and functions, Btw the Forum Runner is an app for all Android mobile phones so it should work on Nokia, sony, blueberry etc etc.

Instead of using your browser you use this software´s and connect directly to the forum and the design is created for mobile Screens so you dont need to zoom etc.

my view only - iphones are over rated.

nokia n900 is the way forward, full flash support so i dont need some plugin to access the forum and multi tasking. which is the best may i add

I have a iPad and an I phone. The only wonky thing for me is the JavaScript picture viewer. If they are attached inline there is no problem.

None of those programs support the I pad natively.

Andy I know you like your phone, good for you. I like my toys too. Doesn't make either of us right just means that we are looking for different things from our devices.

Well acessing the forum is no problem and reading or posting is no problem either everything works perfectly except uploading pictures. Becouse of the Apple Bojkott of FLash Wich is the stupidest thing they ever did.

Although with the plugin you dont have to zoom to be able to read, wich you must do with the nokia or any other mobilephone. unless you have really great eyes to see the tiny letters on a mobilescreen.

With the plugin the text and threads/post are designed just for mobilescreens, not so much scrolling and moving around to reach every menu option etc etc.

A supposedly new and "less suck" version of TouchBB has been installed here.

Be warned... if I get database errors like last time I will pull this thing.

So: Calling all beta testers.

Please report back with "Works" "Doesn't Work" "Killed my first born child!" - *if* this works out well I will look at the other offerings available after I inspect the codebase to see if it does any retarded shit.

Also please note that I have zero control over how it works or altering the script "features" to make it act differently... If it technically works but does stupid shit - yell at them, not me, K?

Jim, are you able to access *all* threads? it appears some of the threads throw up a 'server timed out' error. Maybe you could check a few more threads?

They *still* haven't fixed the "threads with attachments" problem. I only reported it the second day it was running here.

I agree with you Andy, The Iphone followers do seem to be sheep in sheep's clothing.
A chap here at work has just got one - to listen to his music on!!! Hardly ever uses the Inet or phones anyone but he wanted to look good in front of his mates - how pathetic!
There are FAR better phones out there on the market and with the Android operating systems being used on many of these said phones, the Iphone 'closed market' App's are soon gonna be bottom dollar compared with.

I have just upgraded from the BB 9000 to a Dell Streak. It's awesome!

The "AndChat" app also works well on the Android for the IRC chat. Doesn't seem to drain the battery as bad as using the browser either.
