Here is a litle example file, but no midi (have no controller at time)
have switch the expression to slider 2 - (make DMX input off!)
For midi control try also var(127). Remember me, this is better for sliders...i think ?!?

If you will take the effekt only to selected Frame-Timeline, you can go to properties and make a choice.

i have found that i dont need midi ox
every thing seem to be working fine with out it,ie if i open rotate x assighn midi2 in expression it works, great, with out midi ox
but i have some questions
1, lets say i want to make my own live show
how do i divide the time line up in to sections ? , like when you open one of the live show.
2, how do you asighn variable speed control to anything ,i cant find it ? ,to put it to a control slider

1) open midi keybord in LDS (show stopped)
click mouse to a Button - timelinewindow for this button is open.
Now you can say - play from xx.xx.xx min to xx.xx.xx min, hours, seconds, what ever
Don´t forget click loop then play. (image live)


2) in Event click more.
There are other 170 Funktions you can use. (image - event1 and 2)
(you search "set speed")

Right, LDS can more Effects handle at the same time as LD2000 ;-)
But you must find it. ;-)
It is a little bit tricky to use, but much more functions then LD intro or basic i think.

Hi! i need help with LDS.

when I load the live shows for the first time, open the touchscreen panel and move it to the side. Hit play (preview screen is still open) and then on the touchscreen panel hit 'create all bitmaps'. after this i have:

why it happend?

Thanks for answer. sure - it work. But i can't make own Touchsceen and own show for this Touchscreen.

you can't have the preview window covered up when you auto-create screenshots. A better way to create screenshots for the buttons is to click the capture small button at a good time during preview and paste bitmap for that button in the live window.

What windows version are you using, and what graphics card?

this screen from Windows 7. i do it in windows XP - same problem.

For me, your problem, is when you make a screenshot in the previsualization window, you must reduce this window ! *
the correct size is set when you press "create all bitmaps" (but after, you need to create some picture yourself, the auto result is not very good)

i just spent three hours messing around trying to create my own live touch panel
and all i end up with is the same as anton either black squares or a load of white lines

and i am running on a vista machine with an ati chipset
i am out of ideas to try ,to make this work
on a brighter side ,midi control works very well

ok...I see the problem, (I've just trying)
For me, there is a bug with this function in lds 2010...give me some times, I will do the "live 06" in lds 2008 and with the previous files (first page), I think you will have all .img files (live 0 to 6 and max)

Edit...sorry, I can't open live06 with lds 2008 "unexpected file format"... :-(

yep must be a bug then, so looks like i cant use the touch screen for my own live shows
the rest of live works fine , just cant create pics to use on touch screen

@ drlava , any ideas as to what may cause this problem ?

Have a news! in home a have a PC with Windows 7. I install LDS pro on this PC and try make Touchscreens. ALL IS WORKED! graphic card is Radeon X1600.

So i think problem with graphic card ( maybe driver) or OpenGL driver. I will make a research and tell you the news!

i have make many tests and have a news. Main Bug in LDS with TouchScreen in color palette.
So Windows have:
TrueColor Mode(32 bit)
High color mode(16 bit)
and 256 colors

I test LDS pro version in Windows 7. So LDS TouchScreen works just with High color mode and 256 colors.

If you want use LDS TouchScreen - you must:

1. Choose High color mode or 256 colors: control panel -> screen -> screen setup -> settings -> (adaptor mode) mode lists.

2. Load the live shows.
3. Open the touchscreen panel and move it to the side.
4. Hit play, make sure the preview screen is still open.
5. Hit on the touchscreen "Touch me" button.
6. Press 'Screenshot Small' in the preview screen.
7. On the touchscreen controller press 'copy bitmap from Clipboard'.

When you are satified with the bitmaps on the buttons click 'save images' then save your .rtd show file. The next time you close and open realtime the bitmaps will be preloaded and ready to go.
