only question i have is which peltier connector is positive and which one is negative?
I see a red and a black dot near the pins so i assume red is +5V and black is to the mosfet, am i correct?

Hi Michel, you can use the Peltier device in either direction. The direction of the current affects which side gets hot and which side gets cold. If the wrong side is heating/cooling, you can flip the device or swap the connections (not both).

    Default Test results

Could someone please review my first tests with this kit?

I have my test rig finalized and a huge heatsink on the hot side of the TEC. The TEC is cooling two 445 diodes in a small aluminum block, my first tests were with the diodes at 500mW each.

I plan on running the diodes at 1W later but since they will be modulated I figured half power would be a reasonable comparison to them running at 1W modulated.

I stepped up the resistor to 20K and the pot is turned up about half way. With the lasers under no modulation, the TEC gets about .3-.5 amps and the block is 16°C. With both diodes running constant on for 5-10mins the block rises to 26°C and stays stable; the TEC is getting 1.6 amps.
    Does this sound about right?

I wonder if its possible to make it suitable for 24V for driving 2 peltiers 12710 in series. Its seems to do what it needs to do, squeezing the fet controlled by the temperture level.
