DVD/Blu-Ray sled question...

Is there a centralized resource somewhere that lists what diodes are in various sleds and what brand or models of blu-ray players or DVD burners they came out of?

For example, I just got a BDR-s06j from laserwinkle. Where would I find out if that came from say, a Sony XYZ-123 or, a Sharp 123-XYZ or whatever. Or, that a Lite-On 16x DVD burner model XYZ-987 contains a sled with a 660 red capable of 250mW? That way if I see one at a garage sale or, know someone is throwing out an old computer, I have an idea whether it's worth salvaging and tearing apart.

I know a lot is probably trial and error...hobbiests testing and killing but, didn't know if such a resource existed.
