    Default 1W Green laser module

    Hi,

I'm looking for a 1W DPSS green laser module with oem power supply and analog modulation. Anyone have one in good condition lying around?
    Preferably someone in Europe.

    Domingo.

    Hi Domingo,

You could talk me into selling my Excel by Laser Quantum doing over 1W, but this would cost You 1.2k EUR
Used, but beam specs are perfect, so is 30kHz analog modulation.

From what I've seen on laserquantum's web page it looks like a very nice quality laser, although 1.2k is a bit more than what I was thinking of spending on a second hand laser.
How many hours has is been used? can you send me some pics of your module?

    Domingo.

Well, I'm not the original owner. It's from 2003, but no hour meter. I got it in need for a repair, and after that I fell in love with it.
At full modulation (+5V) it feeds 2x 3A to pump diodes, giving out 1.2W of 532nm.

I decided to build one more projector to give him a word, but some parties at home say there's no use for one more projector, especially if it's too powerful for home purposes
Still it's a real joy to see it's beam properties

Pictures ... I'll take some in the evening. I bet You would like to see it lasing, though no scanning available at this time

    Hi Piotr.K

Thanks for the nice pics. It looks like a good quality module, but the driver looks massiveand I'm looking for something with a smaller one. I want to put the module in one of these cases for adding a red and blue in the future, and I'm affraid your driver is just too big.
Also, I think dishing out 1.2k for an 8 year old module that has been under repair and without knowing how many hours it has on it's shoulders, is just too much for me at this moment.
    I appreciate your effort.

Yes, the driver is quite a piece of equipment, with two fans though I guess this was a must to reach high stability for scientific purposes. I guess I will make a green only, or green/445nm blue projector if I achieve similiar beam quality from prismed Nichia pair

Sounds good. I'll also be trying to mach my 445 with a prism pair to what ever green I end up buying. Not sure if I'll get anywhere though, we'll see.
