    Amazing work. Well done.
They say video games are bad for kids but if Pacman had affected us we'd all be running around in dark
rooms, munching pills and listening to repetitive music.

Well well well....I had a show last night....I have made a poor job... as before, the preview window froze more often than before the upgrade, and no laser output....very very more often than before !

Plus, the "new interesting events", I don't exactly know what you have do, but my shows are not working now !
Example, the show "pirate", the first frame is not moving...I only have a non moving wave.
The demo show, when there is a piston, it's not rotating like before. (the clock in the staircase too).

Could you please go for an upgrade ? if no...must I remplace new files for old one ?

    Thank for your support.

Mickael and everyone, please test the new updates with your shows before taking them into a public show situation. The same is true with any sufficiently complex equipment.

For the motion issue, it turns out I added an autodetect-on-load feature for animations that decreases processing overhead if it sees that animations aren't being used, but it turns out it misses some animation types so the animator tab checkbox is turned off in error if only these are used. I'll get this updated asap.

Concerning the laser and preview output, you are using the easylase, aren't you? Are you using the default easylase dll that came with LSX? I have heard reports that the jmlaser.dll that is new on their site and listed as 'beta' is very buggy, should not be used with LSX.

The jmlaser.dll, easylase.dll or netlase.dll from the jmlaser website will not play any protected shows.

The problem is....we need to save lsx files before upgrading...and I forgot that.

Yes, I'm using two easylase, default configuration, never update them, and the DLL files are from you, I have not download them.

The positive touch....really, no problem, I trust in you, this soft is awesome ! (I will try it with a windows XP computer )

New update posted that corrects the animation animator event movement detection that KL79 and lulighttec noticed, and a few other GUI things. If you had saved some shows using the previous version, check that the animation 'animator' enabled checkbox is set where you want it.

    Two small issues I found:

    - Colour mapping doesn't always work properly. I have a blue only projector so I mapped all colours to blue, but randomly the green is shown dimmed. This does not happen everywhere, when I create a frame with green in it it shows properly but when I play a stock show the green is a faint line. Might have something to do with the fact that the shows are protected, or something is wrong with the colour palette setting wizardry. Sometimes it happens and sometimes not, it disappears when I try to recreate it...

    - Using the commands mousex and mousey only work in the main window and not in other floating windows such as the Masterbeam window. If you play an effect with the Masterbeam window that uses mousex and mousey you can't use the masterbeam window itself for moving the mouse.

I have a link that I am supposed to keep for updating LSX. But the issue I am having is that the version change is the same. Is the updated zip file new everytime or am I missing the proper link? Reason being I Dont see the new two page masterbeam, and the stalling and freezing issues on the LSX I still have with the RIYA lite DAC's.
Im just about fed up with usb DAC's. Poorly manufactured cases and cords... but when it IS working it's awesome! Has anyone ever broke up the abs plastic case on these RIYA lite DAC's and put it into a better box and attached a good USB cable? Just checkin for a solution. Thanks! ( Dr. LAVA did NOT make the DAC's and has no control of the manufacturing process....just to clairify.. =) )

ok re updated, and it's working ;-)

There is a bug I forget to mention....when I play a show, at the end, when I click "stop" I have a message "lasershow editor have stop working" do you think you can do anything ?

I'll check out the color mapping, it's a global setting, so whether a show is protected or not does not matter. From what it sounds like, 'sometimes' green doesn't map to your blue at full brightness, is that correct? Have you adjusted your blue linearity settings to get a good response across all brightnesses?

PM me the link you've been using, it might be the wrong one. Have a look at the EtherDream and moncha.net DACs, there is also a RIYA ethernet based dac, the multibus basic/pro

Well that's not good. If it were happening to more people, I'm sure I'd be getting PMs left and right. It's never happened to me either. Please message or email me with more details (frequency of occurrence, number of DACs, DAC type, show type, audio source, etc).

Also, this is not the LSX feature request/bug report/support thread. This is the lounge. Please PM bugreports to me and post feature requests and support questions on :

It's just a little too convenient to press Reply and post your new issue with LSX instead of going to your profile to send you a PM or go to another forum ;D

Anyway it's actually entirely possible that the green used in some shadings is just rather dark (maybe to compensate for a brighter green in comparision to the other colours in the show creator's projector?) and my blue is really bad at linear blanking, so that might be the solution.

    NICE!!

The combination of abstracts & lumia is WAY cool!!

I would definitely be intersted if you decide to share with other LSX users!!

    Thanks Stuka!

I'd kind of like to sell a couple of these to help fund a new DAC.. I've been borrowing sugeek's riya and I need to get it back to him.

If you're interested, I would be happy to give out some of my abstract settings.

Hey swami... excellent work! The only thing, if anything, then it would be to have some red in the lumia. I haven’t done much with lumia, but don’t the colors blend when overlapped, it appears just hard blue or hard green, no steps in-between?

    thanks!

you're right about the red.. that lumia projector has a blown diode. i've been kind of torn between popping a new one in or just setting up the much more amazing lumia projector of science!(tm).

for a fun effect, try applying rotational transforms to sine wave abstract patterns... they break down in really pleasing manners.

I need to take some more time to work with my LSX, I’ve been too busy developing hardware lately.
I still got a Chinese red 650nm 500mW, measuring 700mW, flying around here that I think I’s going to end up in a lumia projector.
What size is your projection area?

that's just a little setup in my living room. 12 foot throw on a 4'x4' screen. my house has kind of goofy geometry and i don't have any wall space for lasers, so i had to set up a screen.

i'll post some abstracts and things i've made in LSX so you and others can rip them apart and improve on them. it's really cool software and the more i use it, the more my brain explodes.

    New update posted 20111226!

This has bug fixes, feature improvements, and some UI features that had been requested that should make show creation faster and easier.

Those that requested a demo, I'll get that build out to you soon.

What a pleasure working with a fully functional program !
LSX is now working very stable, due to the new update AND an error I had in my computer.. (if you own easylase1, we need to use JMLASER and not easylase1 (old) in dac assignment !!!)

So many thanks to Dr Lava, you have made a very good work !

I really appreciate the on line support and now waiting for future development (masterbeam maybe ?)!
