Default Help whith program files Beamz Hyperion bleu.

    Hy Guys

Sorry for my bad english i am not used to type in english.
I am Arnold from Holland, i am a male aged 48 and i am completley new at lasers and working whit them.
Now i bought my first laser its a animation laser from Beamz named Hyperion so i can make my ohn frames and programs and save them on a SD card.
Now i have a problem making the program files, ik know i need to make a text file named as te file i just made and safe it as a .prg file
like (Aurora1.prg) but behind the .prg you need to type the play speed, like ,20K or ,10K.
My question iss, wat means 20 or 10K and how do i know where to find the play speed, i use the program lasercontroler that was included bij the laser.

    Please help.

    Thank you

Hi Arnold, and welcome to Photonlexicon

I'm sorry, but I cannot answer your questions other than to say that the 10k/20k relates to the speed at which the galvo's in you projector are capable of scanning. This is a theoretical maximum which may or may not be true in real life.

    Cheers

    Hi Arnold, Welcome at Photonlexicon!
There is a LEM (a Laser Enthousiast Meeting) coming up in 2 weeks in Ilpendam (between Amsterdam and Purmerend).
Maybe you like to join us there and bring your equipment, there will be 20+ people, from beginner / hobbyist to professional. Most from Holland, but even Belgium France and UK are represented. I think people are able to help you there, just let us know if your interested (in the Laser Meet and Greet section) there is a topic called Dutchlem Ilpendam.

Maybe this helps. What you are telling is a strange format which i don't know. MOst people here use ILDA, but maybe you can explain more about your DAC, software bundled with the projector etc, so we can better help you. And please fill in location so people in The Netherlands can maybe help you out.

    Have a nice day !
    I didn't fail !
I just found out 10,000 ways that didn't work.

Sounds like you need to read this thread!

Might not be exactly the same projector, but it sounds like it's very similar.

All software has a learning curve usually proportional to its capabilities and unique features. Pointing with a mouse is in no way easier than tapping a key.

Definitely read the thread that James linked to; the later parts are all about the showcard that seems to be shared between these devices and how to feed it properly.

Here's the super-digested summary: The device plays only ilda format 0/1 files. If there is any palette information (header type 2) or other stuff in the file, it will not play.

The format of the Picture.prg line is:

    <filename>,speed,reps

If the file is the wrong format, the scanners will squawk and draw crap.

If the first file in the list cannot be found, the unit does nothing.

If later files in the list cannot be found, they are skipped.

The max size of the program file is a little under 3KB.

    Good luck!

thanks for the info I guess this is to much work for actually nothing. i have a feeling that something has gone wrong inside the laser as well as its not drawing lines but more dots.
Anwyas, if anybody has the option to make a ild file that says MEDINA, just static text in blue i would appreciate it quite alot.
My buddy has another one of these that we would like to test for just projecting a logo.

i tried bmp2ild but couldn't get a proper result, and i guess i can't do it with either quickshow or beyond as they wont export ild files afaik.

This is what you have to do to get things to show nicely after tracing with bmp2ild

Do you bmp2ild tracing. Don't get TOO many dots. 500 dots is a good number for this projector.

Save the ild from bmp2ild in the laserboy ild folder.

    Open the ild in laserboy.

Press the x key and the a key to turn off 'minimize on save'

Press these keys, in order, from the laserboy main menu screen with your traced ild showing. Capitalization counts!

    6vOqT^O [esc]

(those are capital letter O's, not zeroes. The hat is shift+6)

You should be at the main menu of LaserBoy now.

    press the k key

press and hold the ` key (above the tab) to duplicate the frame maybe 50 to 100 times.

press esc to get back to the main menu.

press o to export, 1 for ild, 3 for all frames. Give your file a new name.

copy the resulting file to the SD card and create a line in the Pictures.prg file for it. I would not scan faster than 20 or 25.

    Enjoy your logo!
