    Default OMAR@ Lightspace / http://eightonlight.cn

I ordered one of the Pluto series in RED, PT-Red1300. I had no trouble with making payment via paypal. I was charged a paypal fee but I'm OK with this. I got my order 5 days later via FedEx. I had zero troubles with the order and also with contacting Omar. I will provide a full review of the product in a few days in the product section. I would and will buy from this seller again. It's a great product!

You can contact Omar at info@eightonlight.cn

Nice pictures...looks nice and tidy inside and no glue!!!!! They look really good for the money, i am tempted to buy a small rgb for home use.

Minor use of glue but well placed and used only when needed. The real shocker was thermal compound on the laser to optic base plate! To me that shows a builder that cares. I have it in my notes at the shop but I think off hand the base plate was 7mm! Omar/Lightspace has a great product here. I going to order a blue and green Pluto and see about a flight case to hold all three. I know another member is attempting RGB with his Pluto. The case has some room to move the scanner amps to the lower deck to fit more lasers on the top deck. The Pluto is one nice little case.

    Hey Omar
What size mirrors are on those galvos?
did you use the pt40`s in that build?
Btw nice clean wiring in that projector great build, rare to see good work like that in far eastern projectors

    Thanks!!
Yes, we use the pt-40k scanner in that build. The three dimensions of our scan mirrors is 6*10*0.8mm, 5*10*0.8mm, 7*11*0.8mm.

    Mr Picasso,

Out of interest does the Pluto fire a full power beam out of the aperture when it is powered on ????

No it has a delay on the unit I have here. When you power on the unit you can hear that scanners start up first and about 5-10sec after the laser will power on. The default of the unit is to "Auto Play". If you have an ILDA cable plugged in it will start in the ILDA mode, and wait for signal. I have not mucked with the DMX yet.

Blimey, This is cheap for a 4.3W RGB - http://powerlaser.diytrade.com/sdp/1...ser_light.html

Any chance of some pictures of the internals please?
    Thanks

Be interesting to see what price it would be with a decent red in it and a slightly bigger blue.
You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

    Decent red?? Confused

    2.3W of 650 is enough isn't it?

Better beam specs to match the other modules. You could use 1W of 637/642 for the same effect and then it's 'only' a 3W projector.
Having started out with 650 and then moved to 640/637, I'm not sure I'd buy any of the current crop of 650's.
Not sure how much cost difference there is between 2.3W of 650 and 1W of 637, but it can't be huge can it?

Weren't you getting out of lasers Jim?

Are you coming to the LEM?

    Willpower Jim, willpower...

I'd love to come to the LEM but its just such a long way for me, and I'm in the proccess of rebuilding my 2 smaller RGB's into new cases and pumping them up a bit with bigger modules and better scanners and 2 completely new 500mW green satellites, so time and funds are in short supply currently!

I'm sure I will make it to one eventually, so many people to finally meet.

I just checked the LEM thread, I have a gig on Friday night in Brighton anyway. If I'm going to travel all that way, I'd want to come for a few days at least! And I'm out of leave until 1st April now...
If I come, I'm bringing everything!!

They do same unit with 500mw 640 for $3500 or 1watt 640 for $5500 the blues only go to 1 watt.

    The next range up uses 637 and they do a 1.3W 637, 2W 532 ,2W 445 for $7990

I am going to order a 2.5 watt green for $2800 when they get back from their holidays on 1st Feb, not bad even if i just use the case, module and rebuild it.
