    Default help please

can any one help please, just got an eu pro laser 100 mw to match th one i already have off flea bay and its not bright enough. the problem I have now is that the laser is no were near as bright as my other one, yet in the pics he sent me it was a lot brighter.
i have checked the diode and it has dropped down about 35% behind the diode casing.
on my other laser it is bang in the middle.
would this cause the laser to lose brightness????
    thanks for your time
    regards djmarzo.

If it's under warranty, send it back. If not, you have a bit of delicate repair work to do that would cost you money. Looks like a cheap Chinese build without proper adjustable mirror mounts. You won't be able to keep things properly aligned without good stable and adjustable mirror mounts.

thanks for your reply, its a £1600 pro eu laser/ sfx phoenix
with controller. its way out of warranty, i have another exactly the same
and its perfect, all i neen to know is, with the lense being lower in the
casing as in pic, would this cause the laser to be not as bright as the other one
i am no genius on lasers but i know this is not a cheap jap
laser, hence the original price tag,
i appriciate the advice but i could really do with someone
lettin me know what is in the black box and has anyone
    done anythin like this.
    thanks for your time
    regards paul.

    Hi Paul.

I'd say that yes, the diode being whacked out of alignment will most likely be the cause of your power loss...

I'm nowhere near experienced enough to tell you how to go about re-aligning it, but there's plenty of other people on here who can give you better advice.
Are you in the UK then? If so, a quick search of the forum will give you a few names in the uk to try for advice or even perhaps someone may offer to sort it for you...

    Hope that's helpful
If in doubt... Give it a clout?

Ok, so please post more images of the internals including the mirror mounts, galvo block, beam shots with smoke to see the beam. The best would be comparison internal photos between the 2 projectors showing the differences.

More photos the better, if you want help over the internet. The info you've provided so far is not enough to diagnose or help you fix your problem.

However, without sending it to someone else to repair, it is likely you will need to deconstruct your projector, open the laser module housing and repair the mechanical structure holding the diode or housing in the correct position.

I hate to say this but from your initial photo, quality doesn't look great just looking at the fixings and mounts in that photo.

Please post more photos as requested above so people can get a feel for what they are actually dealing with.

Lets hope its better than initial impressions suggest. However, it has to be said that price alone is no guarantee of quality.

£1600 sounds very steep for a 100mw green.

i have had the diode lense aligned now and still to dark
for some reason the faulty one is a hell of a lot quiter and sounds sluggish plugged it.
could it be a power problem????
the good laser has a key but the faulty one does now. just powers up when plugged in.
the bottom shake mirror seems to be not sprung either yet all the others are.
    thanks.
