Hi all, I have a few GM-20 shutter kits available. They are $75 each shipped inside the USA. Will quote shipping outside the USA seperately. 10% will go to Spec to help support PhotonLexicon. The kit consist of a base unit which has a hole in the bottom for a 1/4-20 screw to mount to your optics table. The GM-20 is mounted to a shaft which makes it easy to raise and lower the GM-20. Each kit will include an arm and a GM-20 driver. The driver is designed for +5VDC input, the modulation input is buffered and can connect directly to ILDA pin 13 of your DAC (QM2K, FB3, etc). Most DAC's out there put out +5V on the shutter line, this is required for the driver to work, I had an email about a year ago where someone's DAC only put out 3V or so. If I remember correctly, the minimum is 4V to get the driver to actuate the GM-20. Current draw is about 130mA when the shutter is actuated, the modulation input requires .7mA.
At 5V, the GM-20 does not move very much as you can see in the photos, if you require it to move more you can increase the input voltage, though I wouldn't go past 8VDC.
I don't have a website anymore so if you're interested send me PM with you email address and I'll send a paypal invoice to you.
Have 2 kits left!
Thanks!
