If ya want, I've got a couple of 240V > 208V buckie-bricks, just sittin on the shelf, collecting dust... we use 'em for the Purelights, so.. I'm sure they'll 'handle the amerage'...

    PM-me if ya wanna chat-further...

    PS - I'm envious... (..yes, I know, 'wierd' as that-is.. I am..

Lookin forward to yer pix, Dude..

    643 no need retap.

    Switcher...

Don't slide the cathode tapswitch. Its NOT ment to be slidden, unless there is a serious cathode inbalance. (new word, slidden...) A one time only cloud of Sparks can happen.

The 543-643 psus are well covered in the FAQ. Unless you have the 170 varient, its basically a 150R with two extra added parallel fets for a total of four. The transformers/slideswitch are then set for 220 and the noise gain potentiometer adjusted for smooth operation on 220.

The 643 tube voltage is just a little too high to run off 110 VAC, so the 220 mod is invoked.

    It lives!!!!!!!!
After many hours on the phone with Evergreen and Melles Griot and Mixedgas... I figured out that the PSU was the prob. Its max current is 9.3 amps it was pumping out 15+amps!! So after taking the other blown PSU apart I rebuilt it and everything works but the POT on the front..but the pot inside the PSU works
Its got 4 lines of blue a hint of green ( its got kill green optics) yellow and red! Not sure the power, but its beautiful!!!!

That's awesome, Matt! Glad to see you got it working. Man, are ION's making a come back? I'm thinking solid state projectors might be taking a back seat at SELEM this years, which happens to be in 7 months!

That tube looks good enough to be a candidate for the "Glue the Supermagnets Round the Bore Trick"

Would you mind sticking the all lines OC in?

Very nice Matt, makes me look at revisiting my ILT krypton. Do you still have that extra set of optics that would work with it?
