    Default Signs of the times.

Once in a while you see a sign that just makes you crack up, or you have to have. For a long time my favorite was something Coherent handed out, ie their "Laser on Board" Baby on board sign (remember those!) or the Coherent "Danger Laser" sign in Klingon.

A gem spottted near a campus laser lab last week. The entry to the Dean's Office, in fact. This will probably only be appreciated by people who do home plumbing, or own water cooled lasers, or who work in chem labs, so here goes:

Days since our last lost time laboratory water incident:

When I was a post-doc working in a laboratory studying anti-cancer drugs, the woman I worked for (Susan) could sometimes be very difficult. A fellow post-doc and I would always get to the lab in the morning before Susan and for a while (a week or two) we drove her crazy by strategically placing a couple of teaspoons of water on the floor next to a pipe that passed through her office. She was never able to find the "leak" which magically fixed itself. This happened over 30 years ago but your post reminded me.

Hahaha, that would be extra funny under a gas pipe.

The Health and Safety Act 1971

Recklessly interfering with Darwin’s natural selection process, thereby extending the life cycle of dim-witted ignorami; thus perpetuating and magnifying the danger to us all, by enabling them to breed and walk amongst us, our children and loved ones.

Someone at work was peeing all over and under the urinal. Finally, building management but up a sign that told us to step up and take better aim.

Different situation but figured I would share.

    I'm guessing

They say video games are bad for kids but if Pacman had affected us we'd all be running around in dark
rooms, munching pills and listening to repetitive music.
