Default Love the use of LED screens and Moving Heads here

    Truly a great set up:

Ok nothing remarkable about the way they're used but as someone who hates LED and especially the way it washes out laser, here's an example of how to do it well.

The scans from the moving heads are also impressive but I think this is more down to numbers and positioning than anything ground breaking effect wise, just simple scans.

    Overall a great show!

PS you might even spot the odd laser!
They say video games are bad for kids but if Pacman had affected us we'd all be running around in dark
rooms, munching pills and listening to repetitive music.

Yep, impressive though they are, the effect is already being overused. Could get the same effect with a load of pin spots anyway...
You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

Too bad pin spots burn up dimmer racks.

@Norty -> PMSL at Jean Luc!

    @ Mlenox ->

Pinspots shouldn't burn up dimmer packs unless you're not using them correctly...
If you've got a cheaper dimmer that objects to the transformer in your Pinspot, chuck a load lamp in parallel to it to help your dimmer out a bit!
I find 100watt PAR38 lamps work quite well, but a standard 60-100watt lamp of the Tungsten-filament type sort should do fine...

Hope that saves you some triacs!
If in doubt... Give it a clout?

Sorry guys got o disagree with the 'Could get the same effect with a load of pin spots anyway...' they dont even come close to a sharpy you could have a 100 pinspots on a large stage and you woulnt notice them but 1 sharpy which only uses a 150watt lamp! no problem.
We have 10 sharpys and 6 alpha beam 300 and we love em to bits

TBH, I'd rather see them audience scan with that rack of sharpies and the odd gobo/video projector on a moving head, and keep the multi-watt lasers all the way overhead.

Well, those sharpies are not exactly what you call eyesafe from close-up as well.
You have to keep 12m clearance from these, otherwise they set stuff on fire ...

    hey guys-

i dont know too much about conventional lighting but these sharpies (Clay Paky right?) are DAMN impressive! I see them alot at many shows lately. Are these expensive? they give a very good laser simulation. obviously much wider of a beam, but nice, sharp bright ass beams. Are these standard lights? Or do they use LED's? did i read correctly that these have eye dangers and fire dangers also?

Xenon discharge apparently, like HID car lights.

    You bet they are expensive

If I recall correctly, they're in the €5000-€6000 range per head
