Default Using Touchscreen with Beyond/QS/Live Pro

Anyone have a control set up using a touchscreen to fire cues from Beyond, QuickShow, or Live Pro?
Please let me know if you like it, if it's response is fast and accurate, and what model you are using. Pros or cons?
    Thanks!

Absolutely brilliant; the best way to go for live stuff.
Response and accuracy = top notch, nothing to worry about.
I use a 19" ELO flightcased monitor with a glass front (1939L); perfect for jabby fingers and spilt drinks!

I use an ELO 1515 and 1525 (iirc) which have the resistive membrane. I like them because they require a bit of pressure to activate. This makes it more like actually pressing a button and you can lightly rest your finger without actually triggering.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

For trade shows and demos we use an HP Touchsmart PC's and they're great, especially for getting folks newly acquainted with the software. We also use toughbooks with resistive touchscreens and they're not nearly as responsive as the screens on the HP's or through a good tablet but they get the job done if you hit them solidly.

Thanks for the info guys...trying to figure out if I want resistive response or light touch response...I didn't realize that was an option!
There's no way to dial that up or down with settings is there?

I think any current model will work fine, plus the newer stuff is multi-touch,

    hey sir briggs,
does a 19'' monitor mean that you can cram more frames and controlls in there?
given that it is not much of a price difference, should one go for 19 or stay at 15?

    thanks!

In short: it just makes the cue squares bigger; you don't get any more.

19" fits in a rack mount case nicely with a suitable bezel. Go for whatever is most practical for you to lug around if it costs the same.

I only use LivePro for live gigs, and stick into the two window-mode gear.
The cue grid on the 1st window goes on the touchscreen; the preview window, + general control-clat window goes on the laptop screen. I hardly ever need to touch the laptop itself as all the functions needed are passed through to the MIDI controller or LivePad Pro.

hey, great thanks!! so, if i ever find the money, all i need is a small laptop (maybe 12'', with enough processing ooooomph), a touchscreen and a midi controller (maybe the novation zero, or the novation 25 if i don't go for the touchscreen)

thanks and my apologies to the OP for the threadjack. i hope it had some added value
