Short answer is no. It does not have a product report on file. BUT if you already have a variance YOU CAN STILL IMPORT IT.... same way x-laser does(I think)...

simply fill out your form to import radiation product BUT check the box that says...

DO NOT COMPLY WITH PERFORMANCE STANDARDS;
ARE HELD AND WILL REMAIN UNDER BOND; AND WILL NOT BE
INTRODUCED INTO COMMERCE UNTIL NOTIFICATION IS RECEIVED FROM FDA THAT PRODUCTS HAVE BEEN BROUGHT
INTO COMPLIANCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH AN FDA APPROVED PETITION.

No - really not. We do not do that at all because that assumes that the importer is both registered with US customs as an importer of radiation emitting products AND has a rolling TIB (temporary import bond) which itself costs several thousand dollars per year and then requires paperwork as to the disposition of such units in order to maintain the bond. The shipment would then need to be cleared by an authorized customs broker who can administer the bond paperwork as it needs to be signed off on by a bonded US agent. Failure to do any of that can cause retroactive customs issues up to 5 years after import after they audit your importer's file (which they do routinely for most major carriers) and at the most basic level is fraud if you do not hold such a bond already.

Bond petitions are a TON of work and very expensive only adding to FDA issues. Not a good choice for most cases, IMHO.

So what would yall recommend? For a varianced individual to import a non compliant scanner with intentions of making it fully compliant/varianced with product report? (or is that giving away your secret )

if you're using psb cubes to combine the two reds, how do you end up with a beam that's 5x8mm? how much of that spills of the edge of the galvo mirrors?
