    Default SwissLas PM-1800RGB

    Hi Guys,

Does anyone know anything about this laser (SwissLas PM-1800RGB) and SwissLas as a company??

    http://laserworld.com/en/laser-sales...45-detail.html

A shop has got one of these units in and has asked if I want to go and view it but wanted to see what you lot think of this product and company first.

    Cheers,

    John

    Hello John
The SwissLas PureMicro Series Laser is completly made by us (swisslas) in Switzerland.
Laserworld is the reseller of all our SwissLas Products.

according your Power question of a PM-1800RGB
1800mW is the maximal power. The projector will never have more power then 1800mW use this power for your safety callculations.
1320mW is the guaranteed minimal power when you add the power of all modules inside.

The normal Power of all lasers added before optics is normaly between 1.55 and 1.7 Watt.
The normal Power of all lasers added after outputwindow is normaly between 1.35 and 1.5 Watt.

you can,t go wrong with swisslas. High quality stuff. Swisslas is sold be laserworld because laserworld is known arround the globe and so a bennefit for swisslas to expand their bussiness. Not the best way to expand your bussiness but that is entirely my own opinion

I must ask you, is this system sold as a 1.3 Watt laser or a 1.8 Watt Laser?

..silly Marc.. don't you know that the 'PM' in "PM-1800RGB" stands for 'Purely-theoretical Maximum'?? What's wrong with you, boy??
..or, wait.. was it Pipe-dream Maximum??

..Oh, krikey, you were talking to 'mr vakuum!' ..a thousand apologies..

    Bad business practice.

Should be sold as 1.3 Watt.

If your concerned about safety then stick a sticker on it saying something like:

"Warning the projector should be tested with a calibrated meter before making safety calculations as the power stated is the guaranteed minimum. The actual maximum power may exceed the stated minimum power by up to 50%."
