Default $150 Alternative to a scaffold or truss mount on larger 12X24 Projector beam tables

With some modification I think these would work well in the US to keep the projector at the required height or just a bit higher for outdoor shows you could put some kind of Black material over it to make it look nice once you have adjustments done.

Scaffolding works well but its not real portable this is portable, a bit heavy @ 60LBS but so is scaffold nice thing is this rotates 360 degrees Its what hunters use when they don't have a tree to attach a perch to you will not get an equivalent scaffold or truss rig for the same price.

The gun mount would need to be removed and I think the projector could sit right on the seat 22" wide by 13" deep with a little bit of rigging to attach it assuring it will not fall!!!!. Maybe someone on PL has done this or hunts and has one to look into the idea. It can support a 300lb person so I think it will support a Laser Projector.

Let me clarify a solid state projector not a old school gas ion projector!

    Hmmm, that might just work!
    Good find!

And based on what we saw at SELEM -
All it needs is a couple of 2x4's, and it should work fine for ions...

Yes that may work if you build a deck and attach it to the chair arms provided they can handle the weight.

The only other things I would be concerned with is how stable it would be in high winds also how far you could rig out from the 22" and still have a good center of gravity I would think you could go out as far as the legs extend.

How you get the projector up there I don't know about hoofing it up those footings 12 feet. maybe with couple of step ladders and someone on the top.

The 360 is nice you could set up the footing behind and be able to spin the projector to get at things for adjustment then lock it off. also if you were doing multiple projectors you could set them at any angle you want with a scaffold you would need to turn the whole Scaffold.

If you get the seat out and make a deck on the metal bar underneath it. You can use the bar on the front and the back of the seat as a frame to make a housing from plexi glass e voila your stand is also waterproof....

Water proof it,Nice Idea I like that I was thinking about the seat removal part as well when I looked at it closer this thing has promise. a 6 foot high portable scaffold from HF costs around 200 maybe a little less with discounts and that's not near high enough. You could use these indoors as well in a large venue.

The 13-foot crankstand here may be a little more managable, although you'll need to fabricate a platform fot the laser. A pole-mount for a speaker and a nice thick piece of plywood should do the trick.

I was going to say this is what I've got, I think several others on here have these as well:

Add one of these and you're complete for a single laser set up:

The stand may actually be the same as the above.

The legs go very wide and its very stable at base height, although I admit I've never cranked mine up.

Only draw back is its very heavy. it feels much heavier than the 25KGS quoted but that might just be because of the awkward shape.

If you can handle the weight and never have to carry it far, then it seems a good quality stand.
