Default Converted G-Tech G-XL(ttl) to RGB Projector.

    Hi guys,

A while ago i converted my G-tech from green(ttl) to an RGB. It was fun to do and learned a lot. I was very pleased with the result. But because I have 2 different projectors now and just 1 QM.net I have to make a decision. A second QM.Net is to expensive for me right now. So I decided to sell my lovely RGB G-tech and buy a nice red back for my other projector.

    Here are some spec's
    Projector has ILDA in/out
    Safety key and Interlock
Scaling pots on X and Y
    X and Y swap
Mic and Audio in with sensitivity pot
DMX in/out and Stand alone function. (only with green TTL patters, maybe you could swap this)
    Fan in and out
All that you can find it on the rear panel of the projector:

The front glass window is changed for and AR-coated one. And I replaced the scanners for a DT30 scanset.

And off course the powers of the lasers:
    Green: CNI MGL-200 doing 180mW

    Red/blue module by Edison:
    300mW Red (638nm)
    600mW Blue (445nm)

Put all that above together and you get the following beam shots :

I like to sell this baby for €1500,- (aprox. $1900,-)
Shipping depends on to where I have to ship it to. Maybe we could make a deal with that.

This was my first laserprojector. I had real fun of it and learned al lot from it. Now it's time to pass it on to someone else. The G-tech was very nice build. Nothing glued or ti-raped together. A very solid build. With the upgrade to RGB it's a nice projector for people who want to start lasering or for small clubs. Add an quickshow with FB3 and your ready to go and have fun with it for an long time.

For people that are questioning if it is analog yes it is

I know there was only green in the projector.
But i'm wondering since u changed the green (TTL) to green (analog)

Is it possible to change ttl to analog just by changing the drivers?
(and off course having a controller capable of analog.

It should be. The only thing to be mindful of is if the laser has TEC cooling or any kind of light monitoring feedback. I have changed two different TTL DPSS lasers to analog simply by adding a flexmod to the output leads from the driver and feeding the pump diode off the flexmod. They have both been running for about a year this way.

How its done in this projector is. I toke the modulation wires from the module and connected it to the 4 channel driver that we also use for the red and blue. The original driver is still inside and I used that to control the temperture.
You could also buy an analog driver but you have then to set everything which can be a lot of work if you don't have te right equipment and Knowledge.
