if only it was that easy... If there were laserium shows in my area, i would be haunting that place.

i have seen laserium shows in person, both in planetarium domes and at socalem. i'm fully acquainted with the difficulties of filming laser shows and getting the quality somewhat above "embarrassed to show"

it will never be accurate, but it can be acceptable.

Based on the large amount of laserium footage posted on youtube by laserium1 and dslasers (i assume that's you and jon), the limitations you mention aren't insurmountable.

The longer answer is Ivan spent two years doing a documentary film called Laserium, but as everybody knows by now laser effects don't transfer to film or focal plane array all that well. Shutter speed artifacts, real intensity artifacts that your eye doesn't care about - but the camera intensifies, and the lack of that unique dome environment are just a few of the issues that diminish the experience. Throw in that synchronization and mastering rights issues rear up as soon as you record a live performance to music - the answer becomes not any time soon…

When I find some serious time to just play I'll be trying to do some high dynamic range lumia shots. I've never been happy with the stuff I've shot either on film or digital of lumia.
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

    I can't comment (well I won't...) on what other's have done - but I'm risk adverse.

i hear that, and i understand having less than stellar quality footage of your product is not really the representation you want.

    no worries.

    Hi guys.

Does anyone know why when I open my abstract in LSX why it only ever goes to 50% size?

If I shove a Width SizeXY under it, the abstract gets bigger but disappears into nothing still at 50% size. All pre-made examples do this too.

because you're using the abstract target parameter. set it to default in the lissajous editor window.
