I just recently got a used 2.5 and 2.2watt Coherent Taipan OPSL.
The 2.5 blue is a 480 nm. Sky blue, bright and with a telescope is very tight.
The 2.2 watt is a 460 nm. Its a darker blue. I like it cause its easier on my eyes than the 445 nm. However it does have a mode issue and does go from two distinct beams at lower currents to a single multi mode beam at about 25 amps back to two separate beams at 30 + amps.
These lasers are amazing tho. Seeing what makes them operate is a look at physics, optics, math and electronics all in one package. I got to see the insides of a unit and its kinda intimidating how it all comes together and functions.
The blues look really good matched with the DPSS green. As soon as I can get red I will be building a small projector.
