New Highside LD/TEC Driver

Hi guys!

Is there any interest in highside LD-TEC dual drivers?
The driver has been developed for use in very small setups. Both drivers are placed on a 30x50mm pcb. The thermistor is a flex foil 10k NTC and can be easiliy glued directly to the diode mount with thermal adhesive.

Current: LD 2000mA / TEC 2000mA
Power supply: 5-12VDC
Modulation: 200kHz Analog / TTL
Temp. accuracy: 0,1°C
Size: 30 x 50 mm
Standby Beam Suppression: YES

such a short thermistor, can you show us the housing it was designed for?

I dont understand what you mean. Why is it short? What did you expect to be longer?
It is a standard encapsulated SMD NTC. I did not design it.

Do these drivers have diode suppression so the multimode diodes don't "glow" at 0V modulation?

Yes. The standby beam suppression is activated when modulation voltage is <0,2V.

I think what he noticed was the first thing I thought as well. It looks like from the picture that it is intended to be soldered to the board as is. This gives the appearance that the thermistor is going to land right next to the Fet . This of course wouldn't make much sense. I then realized that you solder short jumpers to get to the thermistor from the pcb.

The thermistor can be soldered to wires with a molex conector which are also included and not directly to the PCB. That would not make much sense as the flex foil is pretty short.

magic questions: How fast can they be delivered. IS this a commercial product? Did anyone test one. Will they still be around in a year from now? Looks great otherwise. I like the size but hope the active element can be mouted 90 degrees like all the other drivers. I like the thermal vias. Nice touch

If I had a driver. I'd laser in the morning. If I had a driver. I'd laser in the evening. All over the wall..........
But if I had a hammer I chase all the people who offer nice drivers and disappear all day!

How fast can they be delivered
Depends on the shipping method and your location. DHl EXPRESS delivers it within 36-48hrs to every place in the world.

Yes, it is a commercial product. It has been developed especially for us and the design is proved and tested.

Will they still be around in a year from now?
Yes, they will be available for a long time.

I like the size but hope the active element can be mouted 90 degrees like all the other drivers.
You can mount it however you want. Just keep in mind that the MOSFET is soldered to the bottom side. But you can change the postion by resoldering or bend it to the bottom direction

As long as you keep the MOSFET cool you can lase 24hrs a day.

But if I had a hammer...
