    Hi,

This is a interresting product you have here!

I'd like to know if your product has different power input for both the TEC and the diode?

    Example :

5V/4A TEC and 2 blue diodes serial wired.
So the TEC needs 5V input and the "diodes driver" part needs 12V.

    Thanks,
    MIke

the big resistors look like they are for sense. What are the the three small trimmers in a row for and are those inductors or transformers?

    Hi guys,

    $4.95 lol
Meet me in the bl. friday

I would like to see a reliable source of good drivers like these. I love the Flexmods but they are never available when I need them :/ I've been thinking about designing my own as well, maybe I should.. but for now, I would be interested in yours
The world does not stand still, I'm glad you liked it

This board has fully separate channels for TEC and diode driver.

5V/4A TEC and 2 blue diodes serial wired.
So the TEC needs 5V input and the "diodes driver" part needs 12V.
Yes, with one caveat, that in this model has a limited voltage for the diode driver of about 7V and you can use only one diode in series.

Big resistors from my old stock )) Small trimmer is adjustment for diode threshold voltage and diode block temp. Inductors provides PWM operation.

God threads like this just make me tired - no price - no availability - just more vaporware...

Many people wrote to me - your driver is too incomprehensible Then I'll ask - and what driver you want?
This driver I did for myself, some features may not be of interest to you.

ps: new revision with almost same feature set

One of the key features of badpip his driver was basic and so a huge succes. Just 2 channels with stepdown and SBS. This is perfect for the hobbymarket because many don,t use tec. No softstart, no overheating protection etc. I believe that you need tec especcially with reds. But then the board has more components and slightly more difficult to design. And as a car with more features it will also be more expencive. Some people drive an old car with no luxury while others think they need every thing just a matter what you prefer i guess

OK, I understand you. A simple car without ABS and climate control system

I think it can please everyone:

Simple 1, 2 and 4 channel drivers with esd protection and sbs. Nothing more. In the next few weeks, I will have finished samples. If anybody interested, I can run the batch production.

    cheers

    These look interesting...

I'd suggest, once you have your samples and a price, send a couple to Sir Mixedgas or Sir Planters to "evaluate"?

That is, of course, as long as they agree...
If in doubt... Give it a clout?

Otherwise it will be a driver-spam

    p.s.
    regarding samples dimensions -
    1ch - 25x35mm
    2ch - 35x45mm (35x40mm with single sbs channel)
    4ch - 65x45mm (65x40mm with single sbs channel)

regarding sbs - 2/4ch versions contains 2 separate sbs channels and separate inputs.

make sure you oversize the traces and use heavy copper so it can pass some current. A lot of the new devices need 2-6A and once the 1w green comes you might need 8-10A. ALSO MAKE SURE you put a full ground plane on the board. Last PLEASE make sure you can keep these in stock for a really long time. I beg you PLEASE.
