    Default Pangolin Forums? Utter confusion!

    Am suffering some confusion.

I went to the Pangolin forums to look for some pretty general information on using Quickshow and several people had asked a similar question in 3 separate threads regarding some settings that are not mentioned in the software manual, resulting in very odd, guarded responses from Pangolin forum staff. None of the questions were answered - even in the slightest.

    Most odd.

Any idea why Pangolin may be refusing to publish, both in their manual and on the forums, information on settings?

I was also not able to reply to any of these threads, nor post a new one - maybe because I had to reset my password?

I feel like one! Do all Pangolin customers feel like this? It's a real struggle from my perspective. Pangolin even joke about creating a walled garden while not providing an answer to their customers on their own forum - but for settings?

Which settings are you referring to?
    Frikkin Lasers

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

Vector control settings. Have made a new thread here asking about them.

I don't think its specifically QS. They also exist in LivePro too, and in the past, its been a case of, if you don't know what they do, leave them alone.

Or, as anyone who wants to learn tends to do, RTFM or check the forums, if nothing found (odd) ask on a forum!

I think its more a case of if you understand the science of vector control, then the settings will mean something to you.
And it may not be Pangolin's place to try to teach you that stuff, so they don't bother trying to, and put their efforts elsewhere.

BTW, what was the 'guarded response'? I suspect the mod/respondee may not understand the nature of the physics/controls, or may simply be trying to avoid lots of people breaking their scanners in some way.

Have a search on their forum for "vector settings". I think there are only 3 results. Some are not responded to yet but one, it's best to read for yourself. The admin responded joking about the lack of information forthcoming from them.
