    Haymaker;

    I have the same problem when I try to access it from work using IE. Could be a firewall issue. (That's the problem I have anyway.)

    There is a plug-in for the Firefox browser called FireFTP that works well, but it may still have issues if you are behind a corporate firewall. (Check out the support page if you have trouble loading the plug-in.)

    The best thing to do is to download and install a dedicated FTP client like SmartFTP or CuteFTP. (Note: SmartFTP is free, while CuteFTP has a trial period before you have to buy it.) Of course, if your firewall is blocking port 21 traffic, you still won't be able to connect. (Are you behind a corporate firewall?)

    I was having isssues till I turned off ZoneAlarm.
    Even having the site marked as safe made no difference.
    I'd disable all Firewalls and try again.

    Yeah, I am using Sygate personal FW but I have acsessed it before without touching the settings upon it. Even on my laptop which has no FW apart from the crummy XP one, I still cannot acsess it.
    Have before and nothing this end has changed AFAIAA

    Very odd

    Question

    That is strange...

    I can still access the site from home using SmartFTP, but I can't get IE to connect to it, either from home or work.

    Maybe Cruch's hosting provider changed something.?.

    Well now I'm able to access ftp.ildaswap.net. So I guess that means I had a banned IP. Why would my IP have been banned?

    Spec, the PL ftp is great! I like the hi.txt!

    edit-well maybe its not working after all, I can see folders there, when I try to open any of them I get a page cannot be found error. Oh well, maybe the pl ftp thing will work much better.

    I could also get onto ftp.ildaswap.net for about 5 minutes, but now I am being rejected by the server again! any ideas as to why my IP is getting banned? The ftp.photonlexicon.com appears to still be working with no problems.

    Cool

    Cruch;

    I just tried to access your FTP server from work using IE, and I coudn't get on. I can still get on using SmartFTP from home, however.

    Spec;

    The PL FTP works fine - even when I access it from work using a browser I have no problems loggin in.

    DZ;

    That had to be you that uploaded the Pink Floyd .gif! (Love it!)

    Question FTP server down?

    Hmmm... Not working for me either, at the moment. Maybe the server is down.

    Has anyone spoken with Cruch lately? (his last activity here was on 4/18/2010...)
