The power does become stable after a while but the 40C temp reading is alarming.

BTW I've tested now 'chinese' G2 vs 'Broadband AR' Aixiz G2 on 638nm. Same output power, so its the same lens.
So if max 638 penetration is required we should choose between Optima (FL4mm) or Dave's FL2mm ones

Thanks for testing. I could test my Aixiz lens only in like 6 days. Well, that's money wasted I guess.

I thought the output power is better with G2 rather than the FL2 in cost of bad divergence and beam profile, not the other way around?
Either way I have about 5-10% less power before any optics compared to DTR with every single diode I have.
Either my Laserbee is a little off or my specific chinese G2 might be worse. The measurement is before the diode has time to heat up so that can't be the problem either. And it's also the case when the diodes are using 50% of their power and are ice cold as well, so that can't be the case, again.
