I obsessed over, maintained and/or restored many 928's. Pictured are my diamond blue metallic '87 S4 and red '81 5spd. The 1987 928S4 set a land speed record for fastest stock production automobile - 172mph. I had mine up to 160+ but ran out of road. It was still pulling. Even at that speed you can drive with one finger - almost no wind noise, a little road noise, feels very safe and under control. Very fast and forgiving GT car.

Aw man, wish we would've met earlier I've been keen on picking up a '94 968 Cab... something to mess around with on the weekends. I feel like I'll need to become a Porsche mechanic if I do though.

The only way I could afford to own these cars was to wrench on them myself. I practically memorized the 9 vol factory workshop manual and could quote page numbers and paragraphs, torque specs, wear tolerances, part numbers, year differences, paint codes, etc. I had all the special tools. I know nothing about other model Porsches but I knew more than there was to know about 928's. They were a joy to drive and work on, a marvel of engineering ahead of their time with many groundbreaking features that are now commonplace in modern cars.

2011 Cruze with the Turbo, probably the only one in the state with a specially reinforced frame kit for a trailer hitch. Something has to haul the Ion lasers, and the bike rack has to go somewhere. Ex rental, and got it for a steal.

2014 Grey Two Door Civic in beautiful shape, with only 5700 on it.

The Cruze is a recall magnet, but after having 22 factory modifications and recalls installed, has turned into a beautiful car, because the rock solid Engine and Transmission are basically a Saab design. As for the rest of it, well, ok. With the turbo, its fun to drive.

Some of the old timers may have seen it at SELEM.
1998 Pontiac Firebird (Foe Trans AM) I did everything to it except put the big motor in it to make it into a TA. I owned it for 16 years. Sold it last October.

Saved for a very long time to get the down payment and find the right one. I knew exactly what I was looking for and found it in Texas.
2011 Chevy Corvette Grand Sport (LT4 package) 436 stock HP. 17000 miles.

I sold the Firebird the day the Vette was delivered. They hardly got to know one another.

I've seen both cars. They're each cool in their own way, but the 'Vette sounds better!

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite - Paul Dirac
