Now I've started a sort of "community-project" in two German forums, to assemble some modules with them for laser-engraving or other applications, like soldering or SLS with dark powder.
Here are some photos of the last actions:
- three of the "simple" drivers, based on parallel wired LM338 as constant current sources, capable of pulsing or CW currents, configurable in "steps" from 0.5Amps to 8.4Amps:
- tools needed to cleave the fiber-ends:
- fiber cleaved, now cutting a "ferrule" as cover and handle from a PEEK capilary:
- glueing the fiber end into the "ferrule":
- testing the beam profile:
- assembling and glueing the focussing head:
- testing the focus with lowest power:
- and upped the power to 1 Watt:
