Hi all.
I have a HeNe gas laser.
I don't use it anymore, even if it working perfectly.
Info about it:
Minimum CW output power at 632.8 nm = 60 mW
Maximum output power = 120mW
BRH Classification = IIIb
Transverse mode = multimode
Beam diameter = 3 mm
Beam divergence = 2.3 mRad
Polarization = random
Operating voltage = 4100 Volts DC ( ± 150)
Operating current = 12.5 mA (± 0.3)
Maximum start voltage =16KV
Recommended minimum series anode ballast included
Longitudinal mode spacing = 138 MHz (c/2L)
Weight = 2.500 Kg
Operating temperature = -20 to+50 °C
Operating position = any
Dimensions = 55x55x1100 mm
Estemeed life = 10,000 hours
Worked time = less than 4,000
PSU is "switching" type.
I tell you in advance that I can't measure its output power because I haven't any power meter. Last year I brought the laser to the factory for a check control: everithing was ok and its power was around 75mw, but I have to tell that power meter was a very old model (never seen before...) so I think its power should be higher.
What could I do with this "granny" laser?
Give it for free to a museum?
To sell it?...
To destroy it?... Or what else?
Any idea?
Some pics taken inside my garage, for better valuation.
All the best.
Steve
