Why not ditch the Atmel MCU and go for a PIC then?

These things will output >200kHz with no problems.

Have a look at page 186.

Thanks for the heads up on the PIC's there, that looks very promising and this would substantially decrease PCB filter real-estate being able to run a PWM @ => 250kHz. I just downloaded the MPLAB X IDE beta6.00.01 and that looks pretty comfortable too. The last time I looked @ PIC programming there was a shit load of assembler programming involved. Looks like microchip did a little bit of homework there, nice IDE. Yeah...I think I’m gonna do a PIC version!

I just finished the LD-Driver, which will also find its way on to this TEC PCB. The driver is doing 1.14A @ 24V on a 20Ω load (4 x 445nm ≈ 19Ω) and 4.6A @ 24V on 2Ω, stable up to 300kHz with a load of 2-20Ω. Precision RR OP-Amps used in mixed build, SMD and hole-thru on a single layer PCB of 30 x 30mm (see layout). I just ordered a small run of 10 for testing, should be here next week.

I have these boards arriving tomorrow. Only a couple of prototype boards at this stage. The design is going to change a fair bit, but these will get me out of trouble for a couple of things I'm working on

Pretty much a die4chill and 2 modified die4drives to allow higher current, and higher voltage. Lets hope they work

Solarfire, could you say how much channels your board has?

    Thanks!!

I really like the 3 channel from Badpip:

I also like the singledriver from solarfire. Both would fit nicely with my Kits. Might be smart to offer them at the kits groupbuy

Got a little stack of the prototype LD-Driver PCBs today, will be populated shortly and I’m PICin at the code for the PIC version of the TEC-Driver.
