    A little update….

Beta boards, dual TEC with LD driver, single TEC with LD driver and single TEC driver are ready for prototyping. System is based on a PIC18F45K22 running @ 64mHz, all embedded I/Os are allocated, RS232 communication is mapped Beta Windows GUI is ready for testing as soon as the boards are here. All TEC-drivers are full bridge (heating/cooling 2 x ±3000mA). LD-Driver runs ultra linear and has lots of headroom. Windows GUI will have data logging of all parameters to Excel spreadsheet.

    PCB size 95 x 55mm and 73 x 55mm.

    Cheers!

GUI almost finished. Export to Excell and Print functions still outstanding. GUI has a SQL Database integrated, so pretty much unlimited data logging of all parameters.
PCBs will be here next week somtime so probably the week after I'll have another update.

    Cheers!

Well shit, I finally got some boards today, almost a week late but they’re here now. So this weekend it’s board populating time.

Well due to the boards being late the Interface Software majorly profited from that. I implemented an unlimited preset database for saving all settings made in the GUI. Dynamic charting for both the Interface and the Excel charts. 1 to 3 Charts will be generated depending on the signal types selected for logging (Boolean, Current and Temperature). OS platforms tested, Windows 7 64bit, XP 32bit, Excel 2003-2010. Printout of a hardcopy is only possible via Excel at the moment.

    Stay tuned..

    Cheers!

Brilliant.... I want at least one to play around with for starters.

Am I right in thinking that the LD driver is a low side driver (more adequate for isolated cans) not a high side driver (cheap RED LOCS)?

    Cheers
