The description says they replaced the original lasers. I'd be asking with what brand, bought from where (ie Laserworld or elsewhere) and whether they're over driven or at factory factory ratings.
They say video games are bad for kids but if Pacman had affected us we'd all be running around in darkrooms, munching pills and listening to repetitive music.
hmmm ok so the response would be go for it as at that price it is in keeping with the product...... some of the youtube footage of the animations put out by the PL series looks so grainy and well just bad for the price of product.... my 680mW running on 20kpps show better than the footage, the B boy dancing frames that come with Phoenix 4 Live in particular I had used them for the DJ between Skindred playing and came out superb however the footage of the same on youtube looks so grainy... could just be the recording or even the model?
well fingers crossed that if I do win the bid it doesn't turn out to be a let down....
x2 680mW RGB
x1 150mW RGY
x1 50mW Green
I would say yes ..... but as white light says .... it depends what modules have been replaced in the unit ...
for instance has the 640nm 500mw been replaced with 660 ... then thats a downer .... but if its still a 640 thats a plus
another plus side is that this Base unit is a good place to start ... you have a Pro case with OK galvos ... and if you are prepared to spend a few quid after the purchace... the case allows room to improve and upgrade to a mean machine
as this was a high end LW projector and all is working and is outputting what the seller says...you have a good starting point for the price ... although i certainly would not pay any more
all the best ...
Mr B
thanks for the heads up and the info there... well shall see how the bidding goes, there is 7 days left so a lot could happen between now & then... but if I win the bid I will give an update upon my findings internally and testing live, fingers crossed it will not be a let down![]()

Hi all,
I am new to this forum and was very shocked to read all the information about Laserworld lasers.
Unfortunately I came on this forum after having bought 2 Laserworld projectors.
Luckely I have not spent many EUR1000's on Laserworld, but still
it is a really cold shower to find that almost every test of Laserworld equipment produces only a fraction of its minimal guaranteed power output.
I own now 2 Laserworld projectors, but it might be the best thing to get rid of them
before they break down.
I will try to find someone who can measure the output and explore the ways
of putting forward a claim against the seller.
After all a guaranteed output is a guaranteed output.
Thanks for this thread!
Not every LW projector is allegedly poor. I had a LW projector myself and it made more than its stated power and didn't break down in the short time I had it.
I think the point with this thread was that many others on here have reported alleged problems so its a case of buyer beware and just being aware that some people have reported allegedly having received projectors that didn't make their specification.
Personally I wouldn't waste my time trying to purse LW even if yours is not a good example as they're outside the EU.
I'd sell up and move on. There are reliable shops owners on this forum eg Stanwax in the UK who can custom build you a quality projector and there are other more expensive options in pre-built lasers that are known to be top quality eg RGB Lasersystems, Hungary and Kvant Lasers, Slovakia.
You also have a Kvant dealer near to you in the NL in the form of MasterPJ who frequents these forums.

i have had a bunch of laserworld green CS series that were as spec but the RGB series where way under spec.
where in the netherlands are you located DerfAmi? i have a laser power meter up to 5 Watts
