Default Tarm is just another Laserworld

    Hi,

Really thought I dont have to do this but You should know this too.
Bought a laser from Tarm two years ago. Offer and Invoice had clearly staited 1000mw green.
As I did not have the meter at this time I could not measure it.
As they gave 1 year warranty I did not open it.

Bought a powermeter and discovered that it did only 500mw.
Asked them to send me instructions for re-algining the laser.
They sent a picture and said that it normal that laser loses half its power after 200h work within 1 year.
Took a cover of my laser and green modul had 600mw on it.
Writed to Tarm and got a letter back. They asked a serial nr of the module. Send it to them with a picture and then they just said that the warranty is over and they could change it but I have to pay for it.

Afrer I told them that this is not warranty case I havent got any response about 6 months now.

This is the picture that they sent me 1 year after I bought it. This is picture of my laser that clearly shows that they sold me 600mw green.

Huh? This picture clearly shows an rgb laser containing a 600mw green module.
This is not a picture of a green projector.

    Have you tried calling tarm?
Writing and then waiting for 6 months, is not a very pragmatic approach.
Just call them and calmly explain your problem, then work towards a mutual reasonable solution.
Posting your problem here won't fix your projector any time soon.

I think that it is the "picture they sent him"...

This is a strange assembly, look like a clean homebuild built .

And where are the galvos? this is a picture inside of their "all colors in one module"?

Hi the other colors are like addon-s. This is the picture of my laser as the greens serial nr is same!
Could post the invioice but dont want all my info public.
Galvos are infront of this box little window is there if you can see.
The main thing is that they dont even answer my letter anymore.
They just said that the laser has worked for a 1 year and now the warranty is over.
I dont think its right, or is it?

I believe Tarm are owned by Laserworld.

However, they're based in Germany and this gives you powers through Trading Standards or the German equivalent.

There was a European Directive that made it a criminal offence to mis-describe goods or mislead a consumer in any way.

The UK version is here although obviously the German equivalent may be worded slightly differently.:

    http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2...0081277_en.pdf

I suggest you contact the German Equivalent of Trading Standards and complain if you were misled. Obviously it will help if you can find the German Legislation 1st so you can quote the law.

I believe they may have bought Swiss Lass, Tarm and some other companies last year although I couldn't say for certain. They could just be partnerships.

Please note the legislation above is a European Directive which means that its up to each individual member to implement it through their own legislation. Thus whilst the provisions should be the same, how they're implemented may vary by country. You really need to find the German legislation and find out what it says about sales by description.
