Not sure that cambrifge laser is 5 watts. It only has a single phase connector fitted to it. That would limit current to PSU to 32 Amps. Probably do 2 watts though.

    only 2W at 32A? That doesn't sound right... At 32A my 168 is doing like 6 or 7W... Almost 8W at 34A

My best ebay find was a 20 watt Synrad Firestar CO2 laser made in 2004 for $499. The guy listed five of them for sale at that $499 buy-it now price and in the first few minutes I bought two then went to the bathroom for some thinking on the throne. Came back in a couple of minutes ready to hit the button for the other three and they were already gone!

Neatest little air cooled DC powered laser you have seen. And they both did +27 watts...must have not been used except for some R&D application.

That was not a Cambridge Lasers unit, they come in a case best described as Art Deco meets a Bananna. That was probably referbed by the OTHER CAMBRDIGE, Cambrdige Lasers Laboratory , and is most likely a ALC 909.
ie 5-7 watts off single or three.

    Coherent I90

    HGM Krypton laser

I wonder how much shipping to UK would be? I rather fancy 3 watts of red.

It looks like he's actually selling the head only, and making the ad look like you're getting the whole system. I've emailed that question to him and will post the answer here.

This might be cool for someone who can go pick it up... I don't think I like the $1000 shipping tag!

There would be plenty, trust me. I just sent my wife a text message telling her about it. I wouldn't pay the full amount but I would make an offer based on the age, mentioned repairs, etc.
