    Default Aluminium Lighting clamps

These are interesting - a cross between a hook clamp and a half-coupler, so you get the ease of rigging combined with the security - not bad for around £6 each including shipping. I bought 10, liked them enough to buy 10 more! Looks like the vendor has loads in varying quantities as different lots, priced cheaper for larger quantities.

I'd give it a punt, but I'm sick of paying out for stuff that doesn't do what it said it should do..

But, if anyone does buy these, please feedback.. the wavelength sounds great.. but as Andy has pointed out - too good to be true. (Considering diodes of similar WL are at least three times that price)

    Cheers,

    Nige.

Well I ordered some of those, they are not that expensive and for the record I will test wavelength, power and mode structure. Since he has a lotof different diodes, incl unusual ones like 980nm, it sounds to me that he has a good source. On the other hand, some of the diodes have "no name" and this sounds a bit suspicious, at least as a matter of quality. We will see.

They each have a scanner with a huge mirror, and it looks like you get a driver board for each one as well. It is hard to say what else is in there, my guess would be some type of NIR diode and possibly an aom if you are lucky, or perhaps a CCD detector if they are designed for scanning. In any case, not a bad buy for $50!
