Dude! AWESOME CONTROLLER + AWESOME POWER!
Thanks! I designed the look and features of the controller, but I have to give credit to others for the PCB layout and firmware.

I've hit triple-digit green powers before, but I don't have any photos of the meter.

Not a chance . . . without Pat, Laser Fantasy would never have built the Infinity 2000. I'm really just riding on Pat's coat-tails.

Sorry, I'm near Seattle and that particular laser is back in Hong Kong as part of their Festival of Lights show, so neither I nor the laser can attend a LEM in your area.

If you want to see one in your area, the closest is at the Freestyle Music Park (formerly Hard Rock Park) in Myrtle Beach, SC.

I think I have an erection now THATS a VAG BURNER!!!

excellent job laseralex...I want to come up and see it!

it appears the bar has been raised a foot or two!

EDIT: sorry I have to edit...I know what it takes to do this. You see no beam, no optics, no breadboard, but I see what they have done...My hat is off and I am on at least one knee to the guys at the New and improved Laser Fantasy for that incredible product. This achievement is the NEW bar set very high. For anyone who converts laserscopes, this product is FAR beyond a simple vag burner conversion (i know of the FR I2000 version, and this is a VAST improvement). I may have opened the door but these guys have STORMED through it!!!! Congratulations!!!

I really need to meet these guys...engineers of excellence!

    Haha! Thanks Pat!

You would be welcome to come by my shop next time you're in the Seattle area. But you'll need to give me a week's notice so I can be sure to have one on the bench: the YAGs I own spend most of their lives sitting in road cases in the corner. That's what happens when you don't have staff to push rentals.

Did you happen to stumble across this at any time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZNFdr4d7g4 ? I got that particular laser up to 103W of 532nm. We spent the next few hours burning everything in sight. LOL!

yes, I do recall that video! I am still stunned with the ergonomics...it reminds me of a 500 watt Marrantz stereo system TOP NOTCH!

my record is around 60 watts with the COBRA YAG...but no where close to the 80 watts by prodjallen or the 103 watts like you guys!

I don't want to mislead anyone here . . . this is definitely NOT a converted Laserscope, it's a Laser Fantasy Infinity 2000. Pat was the original guy who brought Laserscopes and High-power YAGs into entertainment. Floyd decided to make his own "knock off" of the Laserscope with a similar design but slightly different optics, which he called the Infinity 2000. I just refined Floyd's optical design a touch, standardized manufacturing, and built a new controller.

    Old controller:

    New controller:

    Same basic head:

The rod is significantly larger than the Laserscope's, and the beam isn't quite as tight, which makes it a bit easier to get more power.

Being a hifi nut, that controller does look like a top of the range amp from someone like Plinius/marantz etc! Spot on mr 532....

Amazing controller though, have looked at the stella with great longing...
