Default alignment with Scannermount scanpro 40?

I just wondered if its neccesary to raise the lasers if you have scanpro 40.
The height of the center of the X galvomirror to the baseplate is 35mm and most lasers have aperture height of 29mm to the baseplate. Can i get problems to align it on the X mirror true the dichro,s?

You need the beams to be parallel to the optical table and central to the X galvo.

You can achieve this by either raising the lasers or bouncing the beams off bounce mirrors before the dichros. Many people prefer the bounce mirror method as it allows for easier alignment.

In some cases, we have taken a mill to the bottom of the mount to trim a bit off.

Either that, or raise the laser by 6mm, you should be able to get 6mm aluminum

    Thanks dave

The first suggestion is probably the best. More or less 29mm aperture height becomes a standard for most brands of lasermodules but the scannerbrands don,t seem to look at it. You need to raise the dt40, lower the scanpro,s, also raise the raytracks. How about laserworlds?
