    Very nice builds both of them but let's not go to "mine is smaller than yours" territory once again!
    Funny, lasers are among the few subjects that makes guys say this...

    One word.... Solder.... Not a lot, and very fine. It was a bitch getting in there with a fine tip since I lengthened the heat dissipation surface area. Thus, LaserBugs were invented. Any particular reason you'd want to do this over LaserBug's? I got some here for ya....

    Because I don't have them on hand... And lack of patients. I was going to hit you up for a few but was also going to try to "free ball" one for the expierience. . Set me up for three bugs please! Also, what pins did you solder where and then where do the wires go.

    No soldering required except for external driver leads and the jumper pads (I'll take care of those...) What diodes are you using? I got ya covered....

    I would recommend a 12w weller if your going to solder the lasorb to the diode... should be small enough to get you in there

    I prefer an adjustable iron. I generally solder diode leads at 410C.

    Totally agreed,

    It is best for me to solder quickly with a very hot iron than slowly with a lesser hot iron, as the time you are trying to melt that blob, the diode has already reached the critical temperature for long
