    Default Diverging lens

OK, I just fitted my -2.75 lens to my projector and as I guessed; the red diverges like a mofo relative to the other colours.

Scan from around 20', red is huge! (note image is cut off due to projector in an adjacent room, projecting through doorway)

I kind of knew this would happen so I purchased a +1 diopter AR coated lens while I was waiting for my negative lens.

I installed the lens at the output from the red PBS cube.

Result = +300mW through the galvos due to zero overspill! Woohoo!

Second result = divergence equalised in the scanned image Woohoo!

Hi Doc, very nice results you are getting there, Today I had the big divergence issue on red also on a 600mW Kvant unit with the -2.7 lens.

But when you watch a beamshow it does not show that much.

    Happy audiance scanning!

I know I did yesterday with the -2.7 lens. Much better than turning down the power...

Glad it's worked out Doc. Doesn't look as though you've got too many losses with the lenses either, that's good

Looks awesome! I've always wanted to do some work like this, but just never had the time to figure out what lens I would need exactly, and considering the cost of optics, it was something I couldnt put to chance.

Looks nice and simple; are you happy with the divergence of the ther colors after the scanners? It is probably safer.

Totally. I have just changed the scanners to DT40s too, and I'm in the process of installing my scanner safety board.

Next week I'll do some new MPE comparisons to see how much more power I can safely use.
