Laserbee Power meter, great product.
Hello all.
Im an ebay junkie since i started this laser project im building and have for long looked for a nice power meter that will not rip a big hole in my vaulet.
I have now just tested my new Power meter for one day and have to say this is really a greatproduct. and really cheap compared to many others out there. And not cheap in a bad way, simply just cheap prize.
Anyway. i wanted to tip some of you ppl out there of this great "meter" as ive seen some ppl wanting one but cant afford a chorhent for 500bucks. and i just talked to the guy who builds them and they are just right now upgrading them so they will come in a nice enclusure soon.
Below are some pics of how it looks, and the last one is from there new meter with enclusure. Dont know when this new one will be on sale but just give the guy a msg, he is a really kind fellow.
ALso it comes with a 9pin Com port cable and a Dvd with their own software. so you can log your metering to an graph file etc etc.
really cool product and works great and really affordable price.

The $60 postage charge kinda takes the shine off it though ......

agreed that looks like a neat little piece of kit @ a good price but inflated shipping is a turn off for sure.

I bought one about 3 months ago on ebay. Every laser I've measured is within a few mw of what the spec was. I'm quite happy with mine.

Looks a lot like a die4thing.

Laserbee seems a nice meter, but living in Italy means I'm quite cut off

Hmm...how easy would it be to incorporate this on into enclosure so that when the beam is live, it displays the output.
-
Surely the beam needs to terminate (hit it full on) at the tester in order to get a true reading.
So it ain't going anywhere (i.e. out to make a beam show).
