The only real problem I have with my projector is the blue's "beam data". It is approx 4mmx26mm, or 1/6 an inch by 1 inch at about 60 feet.I only see one lense on it. I took it this was a common problem with 445nm diodes.

Would you please be so kind to (in due time) share your final setup with the rest of us?![]()
Hòw much power is that beam?
Hallo everybody,
I tested my Diode today. Final Setup with Thorlabs C610TM-A and an anamorphic prism pair gave a 20x10mm spot in 18.7m distance. Prisms are uncoated but used at brewster angle. Losses from the prisms are 16%. My diode performs a bit underspec, threshold is at 280mA. Reason might be that I gave her a bit reverse current (unknwon current 1s ups![]()
) at the beginning. Final output at 650mA is 370mW.
Some photos to enjoy:
The last photo shows the beam spot (bottom spot ) compared to my 200mW 473nm Lasever (top spot).
Greetings
Andreas
Andy,
Where the heck was Your dedicated Lasorb during reverse biasing the diode ??
Piotr.K
Had only red ones left, unfortunately.
But joking aside, can reverse bias lead to just an increased treshhold while everyting else stays more or less the same? Do I have to expected the diode dying faster now? Anybody knows from experience?
Andreas
