all the blowers/fans have died in my car ive traced it back to the resistor pack.
did a google search but nothing, number on this transistor reads

Should do, just make sure you check the pinouts![]()
I would check the blower motor too, the transistor pack generally fails due to tight bearings in the blower motor.
The pack might also be protected by a thermal fuse.

Generally a thermal fuse looks like a metal canned resistor or a very slim plain ally axial capacitor, usually with a silicone compound around one lead of the component where the lead enters the can.
If it has one I would expect it to be adjacent to the heatsink.

so how do i check that the transistor i got from maplin has the same pin out as the original one when i dont have a data sheet for the original?
