I think P1t8ull had to cancel this GB. Some more buyers dropped out and he was 9 diodes short of a full load

Indeed, unfortunately this GB has hit a wall this time round.
Thanks for trying guys, maybe next time when the diodes will hopefully be cheaper and brighter...

Re. the thermal epoxy, everything is clamped tight in a jig and then thermal epoxy is injected in through feeder holes until nicely potted -

    Question Second try...

Are any of you guys still interested in the 150mW/642nm diodes at £117.50 GBP/pcs + shipping?
Please shout up if you are
If there's enough interest then maybe we can revive this GB as I know some people still want in...

    Cheers

Ahh well.. not to worry Chris. As we discussed via PM, your choice is a good compromise, I think you'll be quite happy with the results.

Default results of the 642nm diodes

I have this diode and it does work very well. On the other hand I got two 650nm 250mw open can jobs off of ebay and PBS'd them together. The result was equal in brightness to the 642nm diode, cost $120.00, is deeper red and prettier. The beam is also about 2/3 of the size of the 642nm diode. When combined, the beam is slightly bigger then the single 642nm diode but fits 6800 scanner mirrors without spilling over.

Just been re quoted on these.

    Up to 24 units = £251
    25 > 99 units = £161.74

I guess they mustn't be affected by the recession.

    Lightbulb

Probably because the only thing using them are laser projectors... Got to find a more popular application for them.
