Glad you like it Adam, it was good to see it all coming together (especially as I had to trust my drawings were correct for the guys milling out the panels)! They did a great job and these panels are now being coated. I should hopefully have them back in a day or two.

There will be 2 fans on either side of the electronics shelf and 2 fans next to the lasers on the optics shelf (6 in total). The other 5 fan-shaped apertures are the vents and these, as well as the fans will have filters.

My plan is still to have the optics completely sealed within a Perspex box with 3 small sealed apertures for the beam entry and an 80 x 80 mm AR glass window on exit. I have deliberately held off getting the Perpex cut up as I want to ensure everything lines up with the external casing and allows for the internal frame.

Also... I'm expecting delivery today of a LD2000 Intro with QM2000.Net I will then order LivePro - I'm very much looking forward to this after having seen the system in action at an event Dave and Adrian (Lumina VP) were running at the weekend - very impressive.

Oh yeah, LivePro is awesome. No doubt about it. It's very complex, which means it may take you some time before you're really familiar with all it can do, but you'll definitely be happy with the results!

Tell us more about this show... I knew that Dave and Adrian had something rather big this weekend, but I didn't know the details. Got any pictures?

    Default Scanners tuned!

Thanks to Adam and his great tuning guide here, my CT 6800HPs are looking sweet!

As for photos of Friday night's event featuring Dave and Adrian's work...

The photos don't quite do the production justice. Here's a couple of videos which will give you a better impression...

    WOW!

Nice work, Dave and Adrian! (Now I understand why they were so tired on Monday...)

sometimes i'm convinced that dave is sleeping when he's actually pretending to be conscious.

but anyway - we've hijacked taggaluci's thread for long enough.

Looks good! Out of interest, what were the specs of the lasers, control etc?

Default It's finished (well as finished as a laser project can ever be)!

Well, it's finally completed (actually it was done last weekend, but I've been a bit busy to post an update).

Thanks to my mates: Mikey for all the metal-work; and Shanos for a great job done with the coating!

Here are some pics for your viewing pleasure...

Each panel can be removed individually, for alignment, maintenance and repair (although the two sides would require removal of the yoke first). This means that once set up on site, any fine tuning can be done without having to take too much apart. As the optics shelf is inverted, simply taking off the bottom panel and reaching in from below allows access to align the optics.

The following shots show examples of the panels being individually removed...

Hmm, seems enough room for some more lasers I have a shutter assembly to add in too.

Clearly some additional alignment would be good, though most of this leakage is due to the 635nm fat red.

You can see how the 635nm clearly surrounds the tighter 532nm. Definitely something to improve upon in future. Dave is also assisting me with resolving the loss through the colour mixing dichros.

Not the clearest picture, but here it is on it's first night out at a mate's birthday gig. I think I need to spend some more time tuning the palette in LD as there was a definite pinkish hue to the whites.

I am now the very proud owner of a Pangolin QM2000.Net and LivePRO system to drive this beast and very much enjoyed putting it through its paces. So much so I didn't get any decent photos or videos on the night!
