laserist started a thread CYGN-A in The Lounge
Yesterday I ran across a pdf of the IEEE Journal of Solid State Circuits from April of 1971 that contained this diagram: It looks pretty simple, and it is, but I started looking for that circuit for a long time ago. Those triangles are inverting op-amps. The grounds on the plus inputs aren't...

Re: DIY MM-1 Mounts "Necessity is the mother of desperation" is how the saying should go. Digging around in one my old "laser projector stuff" boxes, wrapped neatly in sheets of paper towels were what I remembered as my horde of Newport/NRC MM-1 and MM-2 mounts. I was needing to put into use...

Controlling values with the panel protocol does not allow the changing of by specific amounts because it is just simulating knobs being turned. It is necessary to use the MIDI protocol if you want to set specific values.

It hadn't occurred to me that wasn't in the manual. It's fairly similar to a lot of tap to time functions on lighting desks that I use, so I think I just saw the 'tap' word and realised it was a dual action button, so probably modified by the shift key. And it was!

Yes, I raised this with Chris on Messenger the first night I used my Radiator. I've heard it mentioned elsewhere too, so I'm sure its well on their radar. In terms of the screen, would one solution be to send the screen out of the HDMI port to an external monitor? Obviously you'd have to...

There are, but as BLDC motors you have to build a driver. I sent a couple of driver chips. (I picked them up years ago before they became 750 unit min order qtys, and I have fewer than I have motors. They require 6 external transistors - 2 for each coil and they're surface mount - so bread boarding...

If that's looking a little different than you remember, you might have the panel upside down... the EAO switches are a little unusual. Each bank has a N.O. & a N.C. set of contacts.

The CYGN-B is almost complete. It's a trip to have my fingers on these marvelous taps after forty years of reviewing distant memories. Metaphors such as Rosetta Stones and Holy Grails apply to this project, at least on a personal emotional level. Gently easing the scratchiness out of the dials......

Hello, on the Radiator, in the three LFO sections, there is a line (TAP) right under the enable Button for each LFO. If You hold the SHIFT Button and tap in a Music beat on this button the LFO will pick it up. My piano metronome ranges from 40 to 240 Ticks per minute, and the frequency...
